AI Receptionist

Answer every call. Book more jobs.

A voice AI receptionist that answers calls, captures the details you need and books appointments. CloudNext sets it up, tests it and manages it for you.

What it is.

What is an AI receptionist?

An AI receptionist is a voice agent that answers phone calls, answers common questions, captures the caller's details and books appointments. It works after hours and during busy periods, then sends a summary to the business. It is different from a website chatbot, which handles text chat on a website.

For a trade business, the value is simple: the call is answered while you are on the tools, driving or closed. The caller gets a next step instead of voicemail.

Questions

The things to ask before you buy.

What is an AI receptionist?+

It is a voice agent that answers phone calls, answers common questions, captures the caller's details and books appointments. It can work after hours and during busy periods.

Can it book jobs into my calendar?+

Yes, where the calendar or job system is connected and the booking rules are configured. CloudNext tests the booking, reschedule and cancellation flows before go live.

What happens if it cannot answer?+

It can transfer to a person, take a structured message, offer a callback or pass an urgent call to a person. What happens when it can’t answer is part of the setup.

Do I need to change my number?+

Usually no. You can forward your existing number or use a separate number for after hours and when you are busy.

Does it sound robotic?+

It uses a natural voice, but it is still an AI. A good setup discloses that the caller is speaking to an AI.

Can it handle Australian accents and names?+

That is part of the testing. We check local place names and street names during setup. Test before you commit.

Is it safe for emergencies?+

It should never give technical or safety advice. For gas, fire, electrical hazards or medical emergencies, it should tell the caller to call 000 and notify the business.

Who owns the call data?+

That should be set out in the agreement. CloudNext's default position is that the client owns its content and call data, and CloudNext has a licence to use it to provide the service.
